I had a very hard time trying to find a song for The Great Gatsby; however, the song I found reminded me of Gatsby. Its called The Scientist by Coldplay. Certain parts of the lyrics are what caught my attention. It reminded me of Gatsby and how he is in love with Daisy and just HAS to tell her and won't stop until he has her.
One part of the lyrics says, "You don't know how lovely you are. I had to find you, tell you I need you." Again, he truely wouldn't stop until he told Daisy the truth, even if it meant saying so right in front of Daisy's husband, Tom.
Another part says, "but tell me you love me, come back and haunt me." Gatsby was wanting for Daisy to so desperately tell him that she loves him, and she does. But then also goes and says she loveds Tom too.
Lastly, it also says, "I'm going back to the start." Gatsby always thought that he could live in the past, meaning when him and Daisy were together and in love before Tom, and that is what this is saying, that it is better to go back to before when things were better.
